Six Months
Well, Mr. James is six months now. He is 20 pounds and in 12 month clothing. Time seems to be flying by, and watching him learn new things just blows me away.
His teeth have all pretty much come in now, all six of them. I am so happy about this, because he was pretty uncomfortable there for a while. He's gone back to his nice long sleeping pattern, so that's wonderful, although he still prefers his crib.
It seems when he is next to me he just can't sleep ?? I am still struggling with this, but happy that he is sleeping so well on his own, even if his annoying mother comes in fifty times a night to check his breathing.
Last month he learned to sit unassisted and now he's PULLING UP! I am scared! He's doing it on everthing... the couch, the chairs, even the shelves at his daddy's store He can stand for quite long periods of time while holding on to something, and he just gets the hugest grin on his face.
He still isn't crawling much, but he gets what he needs by turning in circles or rolling. He is beginning to attempt to climb the stairs, but really he just sits at the base of them and pats the lowest one.
His newest thing is grabbing on my ear (or his dad's) and screaming into it. What? He's very talkative!
I am still having some problems with him not wanting solids, but I'm not terribly concerned about it. He just isn't interested right now. I really think he would LOVE finger foods, but I'm not sure if he's ready for them; I'll ask his doctor next week.
He's still so mellow and happy. Starting to get a bit of separation anxiety though, which I have to say I really enjoy. It's nice to know he needs me so much. He's very attached to his momma.
We signed up for the Mother Goose program, which is supposed to be an AWESOME class. It teaches babies songs and hand movements, and I think it'll be a blast. I am going with four other girls from our playgroup.
I guess that's it for now, see you guys next month!
