May 14th- Update
Wow, haven't updated in a while! Having a baby keeps me quite busy, I guess.
Speaking of my little man, James is nine and a half weeks old now! I can't believe how fast the little guy is growing. He's still such a good baby... we're all sleeping through the night now, and he is just sooooo smiley at everyone he sees. And he has the most beautiful brown eyes! We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for a basic check- up. I have to ask my doctor about some things like vaccinations, etc. Mike and I are really trying to do our research before we have any of them done.
I am feeling SO wonderful, though. The weight is still coming off, I think just from the BFing and extra activity. I have been doing well on my diet and drinking loads of water, so that helps too. I am loving being a mom so much... honestly, it's the greatest thing I've ever done in my life.
James is absolutely enormous. I can't wait until they weigh him tomorrow... I'd really like to know what he is. He is in 6-9 month sleepers!!! Still not a chubby baby though, I really think he's quite long. And of course, he is completely adorable He is doing really well developmentally too- he's lifting his head literally as far as it can go when he's on his tummy now, he's starting to reach for stuff more now (especially Daddy's hair for some reason), and he is still amazingly strong. He talks to his toys now, too. James is a very intent little baby, he always HAS to check out what's going on around him, and he just watches everything calmly. I think he's going to be quite serious. It is so much fun to think about what he is going to be like as he grows up, and all the fun things we can do with him, and then I stop myself. I know that all of that will come quickly enough, and he is already growing like a weed! I just know he is going to giggle soon, he is already trying. And he is SO talkative! The sweetie wakes us up every morning and just talks and laughs for about 2 hours until he goes back down for a nap. He tries to talk while nursing too, which is pretty funny to see.
I guess that's pretty much it for now. Hopefully everything goes well at the doctor's tomorrow. I'll update when I get back.
