I had really really wanted to wait until he was six months, but James has been eyeing up our food for a while now, and constantly trying to grab it off our plates as well as making little chewing motions with his mouth when we are eating. He had all the other signs of being ready as well, so tonight when he had a little freak-out at not being able to have what we were having, we broke down and decided it was time. Daddy fed James just a little bit of banana while I took pictures. We were expecting his little face to screw up at the taste, as well as having most of the food end up everywhere but inside his mouth. We couldn't have been more wrong- he LOVED it! He lapped it right up and cried when we tried to take it away, so we had to give him back the spoon to chew on. Great reaction... we're very happy. Well, Mike's a little sad because James is so big now, ha ha.
